Hello Karen

Hey guys, this is just a quick update to introduce you to Karen Kavett. Karen is DFTBA's first official intern. She's going to be helping us out with some of the things I've been slacking on so we can all keep in better touch and offer a better service to you guys.

Things get busy around here, it takes a lot to run a business of this size. I'm mailing out an average of 1,500 orders per month, and of those less than 1% ever have shipping or wrong item issues. On top of that we're constantly signing and releasing new artists and the merch you guys tell us you want (like our monthly t-shirts). So, we are due for a little help. =)

First place you'll notice a change is on Twitter. While Hank and I will still be around the DFTBArecords twitter account, Karen will be there daily. Please send her some @replies to respond to. Karen will be around twitter to keep you informed of what's going on at DFTBA and about any specials or sales we have going on.

Second is the weekly newsletter. For a while I wrote it. Then Hank wrote it. Then it disappeared. Then Alex wrote it. Then it disappeared. That will stop. Karen will be writing and mailing out the newsletter every Wednesday with some DFTBA news and also a gentle CAPS LOCK reminder to go to the Radio Hour, which airs every Wednesday night.

Finally, our underappreciated Street Team will be getting some much due love. Karen and I will be working together to bring you new missions, new prizes and more fun stuff for those who are signed up to the street team. We're always interested in your ideas for ways to help us spread the awesome word about DFTBA artists and of course, what kind of prizes will motivate you guys to help us spread the word, so leave your suggestions below.

Okay, that's all for now. Give Karen a huge "hello" and expect to hear a lot more from her from now on.

Rock on!

- Alan
